Pros

The only pros here were the free items that you barely get free anymore. Also the hourly pay is higher than most retail positions (since they cut commission) but it isn't worth the hell that is Victorias secret the amount for toxicity and stress you have to put up with and the constant lurking of management over your shoulders that ask you the same stuff daily as well as give monthly reviews that only focus on the negative and what you do the worst then actually focus on a more positive growing behaviour.

Cons

A typical day at Victorias Secret was being micro managed constantly even if you had worked there for a few years you are always targeted and stalked and asked multiple question about the same daily stuff. It was a very toxic daily situation always focused on sales which apparently is not the brands motto (BUT IT IS). Management is incredibly poor they are never on the same page, each manager gives you a different answers to problems. Typically schedule you outside your availability and its your fault when THEY messed up so you need to fix their mistakes. Overheard multiple times management talking disrespectfully about other managers as well as associates behind their backs judging them calling them useless. Nothing about this job was enjoyable unless you like being a number and told you can be easily replaced and complained at that your not meeting the crazy standard of the sales goals with being stressed out and no commission benefits. Associates are annoying and always stealing sales because of the stress . There is no room to be promoted even though they may say the promote within the company they do not and they will probably be more likely to promote someone that doesn't have the qualifications in the company or other proper training like how to talk to employees professionally. Management should also be trained better because they don't know how to schedule properly and schedules are constantly coming out late so there is no work life balance. calling out when your sick is also a nightmare you will be begged to come in ill and told you can't call out and made to feel very guilty about it even if you call out once a year you will still be punished for it.

Pros

Remote, work-life balance, easily post shifts and get vto if you want it

Cons

Hours fluctuate way too much, and repetitive, brainless type of calls. You're walked all over, and have to play stupid with customers because of their "assume good intent" policy, but WOW the amount of people who take advantage of this wild. You will see hundreds of dollars refunded on numerous back-to-back orders of the same person claiming they didn't get their package, or coupons and gift cards, nonstop, with customers always complaining. The complaints from customers still in store on their treatment from store managers and supervisors are shocking, I've had calls hearing those workers yellling at customers. The type of work and level of needing to play stupid is just not for me. I also didnt care for never getting a straight answer from managers, trainers, higher-ups. Everything is always beating around the bush. One time hours were cut back a lot, and they blamed the tariffs that the president imposed, which made no sense. Come to find out from a long-term employee that it was just the usual slow time. It's a weird work environment that you just can't take seriously. If you want remote work, take it for the experience on your resume, but move on.
