Pros

The amazing staff memebers! Shame the management can’t be as wonderful as them.

Cons

I have worked in retail for 6-7 years and I have NEVER worked in a store like this. As I was a huge fan of Victoria’s Secret this store did nothing but completely destroy my passion for the brand. I have never worked in these conditions where managers are unbearable to work with. The management team make you demotivated when things don’t go right and make you feel like it is your fault. The management team become so involved in staff members lives they try to break friendships by talking in their office about other staff members behind their backs which in my opinion is completely unprofessional. When you receive a break in work management constantly ask ‘what time are you back’ which makes breaks uncomfortable as you feel like you have to rush back because with lack of staff management become stressed and put so much pressure on you to return to the shop floor. Some working days involve starting at 6am and on a few occasions managers couldn’t even turn up on time which left me to stand outside the shop for hours waiting for them to arrive, if staff members are late they receive what they call ‘file notes’ however when managers are late nothing gets done about it and they get away with it which is unacceptable. The delivery shifts turn out to be factory work which made staff dislike the delivery role they where set out to do as things had to be done in an unrealistic time frame. Night shifts where terrible. So unorganised and you wouldn’t even get asked to stay on longer if the work wasn’t complete which caused problems with lack of sleep. Once completing a night shift you where made to start work the next day at 6am which would make me sick every time however management didn’t solve this and still put me on constant night shifts after I complained about them because they become to much. You would never receive breaks on time there was a time I did a whole 6 hours into my 9 hour day and management only realised I needed a break which is against the law as after 6 hours into working a break is needed. I was completely worked down to the ground in this store which made my health deteriorate and I visited the doctors regularly over my health as working in this type of environment made me ill physically, emotionally and mentally. This store is so unorganised it makes it such a hard place to work and this results in unhappy staff members. On a few occasions where I had to phone in sick certain members of the management team would make you feel bad about being ill which couldn’t be helped. This place is the worst place I have ever worked in and coming from an ex fan of Victoria’s Secret it’s nothing but a shame and I will never return to work in any Victoria’s Secret stores. DO NOT APPLY!!!

Pros

Remote, work-life balance, easily post shifts and get vto if you want it

Cons

Hours fluctuate way too much, and repetitive, brainless type of calls. You're walked all over, and have to play stupid with customers because of their "assume good intent" policy, but WOW the amount of people who take advantage of this wild. You will see hundreds of dollars refunded on numerous back-to-back orders of the same person claiming they didn't get their package, or coupons and gift cards, nonstop, with customers always complaining. The complaints from customers still in store on their treatment from store managers and supervisors are shocking, I've had calls hearing those workers yellling at customers. The type of work and level of needing to play stupid is just not for me. I also didnt care for never getting a straight answer from managers, trainers, higher-ups. Everything is always beating around the bush. One time hours were cut back a lot, and they blamed the tariffs that the president imposed, which made no sense. Come to find out from a long-term employee that it was just the usual slow time. It's a weird work environment that you just can't take seriously. If you want remote work, take it for the experience on your resume, but move on.
