Pros
First off, this is my first time as a sales engineer and I love it. I must admin that a huge part of my enjoyment is because the Varonis solution is amazing. The software is so much fun to demo and leverage to help people find AND FIX their risk/problems . Management is amazing, my current boss is absolutely amazing! All the way up the sales engineering chain to the very top, the leadership is just fantastic. There is 100% a teamwork mindset. You can talk to whom ever you like. If you need something or have an idea, people will listen. The company is full of talented real people who are always willing to help. These are the people you want to surround yourself with.
Cons
The pay is fair. I’ve heard of some much higher paying roles but I question some of these other vendors and I’ve also heard that quota can be unattainable. At varonis, quota is very much attainable. I do not live in a large metropolitan area and I have surpassed quota more times than not. Not much reimbursements for home office supplies, e.g. no 2nd power supply for my laptop?!?
