Pros
Varonis has some of the most advanced technology. It is literally market-making tech. Check Gartner, IDC, etc. The product is outstanding and evolving with the input of customers, prospects, and a host of data scientists. More than just great coding - the effort and care that both the support and leadership teams take to ensure customer satisfaction is impressive. The opportunity presented is very straightforward. Work hard, be honest, spend money as if it were your own, and you can shape your destiny. Having worked at pre-IPO and post-IPO companies that continue to be successful and others that have not - I can tell from the inside that all the right things are being considered, planned, and executed with careful thought and consideration. That said, if there is a good idea that has ROI - it's easy to find support and funding. Lastly, the people... whether it is someone you never met answering a question across the world or a VP reaching out to help to make answer a question or help to get one what they need to make it a win for the company - you get it. I'll add that it's also nice to be listened to and given consideration. Example: If you want to make a suggestion from the simple "The CRM App needs to be modified in a specific way to improve effencies to the hardly believable (at other companies) "Varonis should consider modifying it's comp plan to these metrics..." you'll get a fair hearing. By the way. those are both two actual real-world examples.
Cons
There really are none from my vantage point. You do have to work hard. You do have to care about what you do. It's not a individual sport - this company is a team. In my opinion, if you're not comfortable being on a team with a lot of sharing, inspection, etc. I will say this but it's to be considered in relationship to role/experience/etc. you probably can make more money at some other companies. We've seen people leave Varonis to join the shiny new company... only to see them very unhappy and in some cases, out of work once the company burns through it's funding. What you may (or may not) be missing in the way of your W2 - you get back in a great team, great leadership...and not a lot of BS.
