Pros
Good pay. Great 401(k) package. Looks good on a resume. International experience nearly guaranteed for industrial. Exposure to lots of people and cultures. If you don't want to put in a lot of overtime and don't care about satisfaction or promotion, engineering here is great!
Cons
If you aren't best buds with upper management, you won't be promoted or get to do anything interesting. No incentive for good work, no punishment for bad. "Fireman" style of management means that everyone runs around like madmen and nothing gets done. Improvement is highly discouraged. Planning is highly discouraged. Measured temps on the line regularly reach 110 F. Anything that needs purchased will require at least 3 signatures, purchasing is a pain. Don't expect your stuff to arrive on time. Corporate culture needs some serious adjustment. With a really, really, really big hammer. Preaching about standards when none actually exist, are followed, or are written anywhere.
