Tram Driver Job is Hell - Tram Driver Universal Studios Employee Review

Pros

It's a way to get into the Teamsters....they say you have to work for them for 3 years or they'll kick you out of the teamsters but it's a lie they can't enforce because it's illegal...they just say it to keep the turnover low because it costs a fortune to train you

Cons

because the other departments are full of kids, their culture is to treat you like a kid working his first week, at his first job, no matter how old you are or long you've been there. Because all the other departments have high turnover the management seems pressured to find reasons to discipline or fire you to justify the existence of their position

Pros

They are very helpful when it comes to your growth in the company. Benefits are good and pay is decent! Also why weekly pay and you can come in for hours if needed

Cons

Shifts can be short at least at my venue. The longest shift you’ll have is 8hrs, minus your lunch about 7.25 hrs. Sometimes you get shifts of 5hrs. Part timers don’t really get much benefits besides health and park tickets. No pto , no bereavement etc.
