Pros
Get to work with a diverse student population from many different backgrounds. There is a lot of autonomy at my school, so I get to teach what I want to teach. It is easy to move up the ladder if you want to become a Assistant Principal or Principal.
Cons
Education funding in Oklahoma continues to get cut and the salary for Oklahoma teachers is a joke. With that, the district is sometimes forced to hire bad teachers who don't do their job, which then comes back to hurt the good teachers because the students have poor mindsets from their other classes. There is a huge difference between the different schools in the district on performance.
