Red tape & bureaucracy inhibit basic job functions, MANY non-librarian duties are expected (IT duties, cafeteria duties, teaching specials classes, training staff on things that have nothing to do with the library, being on many committees, and much more), pay is atrocious, sometimes coworkers and admins are terrible (depends entirely on how you fit in the school and every school is very different)
