Pros
The Body Shop has a great set of core values when it comes to protecting animals an the environment, supporting fair trade and human rights. This helps unite the staff under the premise that we are working together to make the world better. Also our regional office generally has a minimum of political nonsense. Generally work life balance is respected and people are easy to get along with.
Cons
Management changes and constant upheaval in the past few years have left people weary and tired of change. Current upper level management is not doing a good job at communicating strategies or fostering an inclusive environment. The constant changes in direction are frustrating and cause us to redo work two to three times. Lack of role clarity and accountability are issues that repeatedly have come up in employee surveys in the past year. The parent organization in the UK is often fairly beaurocratic and slow.
