Pros
Safe environment, decent pay, great benefits
Cons
Management and supervisors are quick to come take a picture of something, email it it every supervisor in the plant, make a big deal out of something instead of talking to the operator and asking why they are doing something in a particular way (usually they have no idea why the operators are doing what caused them to take the picture) Work floor is extremely loud, hearing protection is offered, but hearing loss will happen to anyone who spends multiple years on the production floor. There is a definite need for an air filtration system, the heat treat process releases a red dust into the air which is easily inhaled by people on the floor. Sinus infections are unavoidable, and constant. I'm sure there are other health factors involved with the inhalation of the red dust as well.
