Pros

There are certain Pros about this organisation: 1. They shall always provide you on time salary 2. There are handful of employee centrist policies like good health policy. 3. Increment is better than Infosys/ Wipro/ HCL. 4. Good if you do not want to face any technical challenges and easy life. 5. Be here if you are not at all technical and want to have some base, study further and move out.

Cons

Pathetic, in fact ridiculous salary for freshers and less experienced resources. Freshers and less experienced are overlooked when annual appraisal occurs. Employee satisfaction index is too low. Stunts learning curve. Employees are taken for granted and there is no respect for one's personal life and priorities. There are only a handful of Projects which require an development work to be done. There is no employee satisfaction in TCS. Their policies of work environment and providing office resources is poor. Lead and management are not well trained to lead a team. There are few good managers though. There is no insight to the manager about what their team is doing. Managers are not so easily accessible. You cannot go to them anytime to discuss about your problem.

Pros

Large client base. Talented people, have "cracked the code" on offshoring development and support.

Cons

For anyone used to working in US-based firms, the culture and politics will be difficult to understand and navigate. Internal policies and systems focus on the offshore delivery center model. Roles in the US do not fit into that mold, and obtaining approvals for simple expenses can require weeks and insanely high approval chains given the size of TCS. I needed approval from a global division head (a CEO direct-report) just to pay for a short training course. Missions of different departments are not clearly defined, so overlap and conflict are common.
