You can expect several years later to be more or less exactly where you you started in many ways. Moving to the lower management will not significantly effect effect your pay or benefits (but it will give you more work to do.) Upper management positions are risky at best (not much job security), and difficult to move into as they have a tendency to hire from outside your call center. The benefits are really not any better than those available on the market. Taking calls as an agent can be very stressful to the wrong kind of individual, and many have commented on CSR 'burnout'.
