Pros

Good retirement match for new employees.

Cons

- No real diversity in US sites despite what the company promotes - Touts participation in events like Women's Day but doesn't make any changes despite upper management being majority white men - Employee "appreciation" day meant TE giving 10 out of 100k+ employees a chance to donate $50 to a charity. A shady cover for another tax break from them. - Doesn't invest in employee well-being or employee resource groups - Most engineers not encouraged to work from home during COVID - Plant manager creates culture of fear, no one acknowledges that the pandemic may be making life harder right now - Constant layoffs in Medical despite have plenty of orders, jobs cut are never brought back and innovation is expected but no resources available - Site management doesn't advocate for employees to upper management - Personal development is stressed as important but only if it's going to benefit the company and if you can find time between all other responsibilities - New employees get 10 vacation days and that doesn't increase until being with the company for 10 years; Gives absolute minimum number of vacation days - Gives absolute minimum benefits compared to other US companies - Everything involving the whole company caters to the East coast of the US and Europe so forget west coast employees being able to attend larger company meetings - Employees aren't able to get to know each other because anytime they aren't working on critical tasks it's frowned upon; low employee engagement - Company doesn't care about your site unless it's in the automotive segment

Pros

Broadly a good company if you’re in a senior decision making role.

Cons

HR policies are words only. Years go by without ability to take any PTO and carry over not allowed. Friday afternoons, all HR US employees stop working with all others working past normal business hours and into the weekend including late Friday asks to complete an action by Monday 8:00 AM that was known earlier in the week but only communicated to the employee after Friday business hours. Every Friday. Onboarding structure / sink or swim approach, no training. No sense of belonging unless you’ve worked here 20 years plus. No growth or development opportunities unless tapped on the shoulder. Many openings are never published, again tapped on the shoulder approach despite offering to volunteer. Dismissive company culture. Every Voice Counts initiative is code for: if you do share your voice, you are on a list to not consider for promotion or any projects that would give you more visibility across the organization to foster one’s growth.
