Pros
I got paid (below industry standard) and was not on welfare. I had some great co-workers, all have left or are miserable and looking for a better opportunity.
Cons
Insane workload, no work/life balance. Low pay for industry. Benefits slashed with merger. Severe lack of transparency. Rules do not apply to all. High turnover at all levels. New hire's not trained, a sink or swim on boarding process. Micro-management is the norm. Lack of collaboration between departments. Upper level management has little clue what those "under" them do - yes, you are made to feel subordinate and inferior. Low morale.
