1. Fearful environment in teams. Employees feel threatened by managers but are afraid to report it for the fear of their jobs.
2. Unit heads are completely unaware of this as there is no skip-level interaction at all.
3. Feedback is not well received by managers and they threaten people that careers will be ruined if we disagree with what they say.
4. There is no way to communicate our feedback about our managers without the manager knowing about it. We have been told that even the 'anonymous' surveys results can be traced back to the employee.
5. During induction, you are told about great policies such as 'Own The Way You Work', etc. But managers do not let you work from home or be flexible with work timings.
6. Salary is much lower than industry peers.
7. During annual pay hikes, only the fixed component is revised. The variable component (TAPI) remains the same for around 4-5 years irrespective of your performance.
It feels like we are trapped with the manager and cannot raise our voice to anyone. The overall work environment is suffocating and demoralising. I would not recommend this firm to anyone.
