Pros

You learn a lot of different recipes and are constantly learning new skills or honing current one.s. I love the discounts from the store and to use my job as my own test kitchen.

Cons

The hours are ridiculous. They stuff the calendar with classes despite being short staffed and some of the recipes are not even correct leaving you embarrassed and angry customers. You can only prevent it by testing the recipes on your own dime or someone being the guinea pig. There is no cut off time so you can prep for class and a couple can walk in on a whim and you are expected to adjust. Also the budget is extremely tight, especially with costs and the recipies are hard to shop for because things just cant be found like they can, but the classes are posted anyway. There are no benefits, no raises, just pure hours. You're techincally cannot go over a certain amount so that they do not have to pay you benefits, so you're cut off just before 40 - 35 even. Too much work for part time, not enough for full time. NO win
