Pros

The atmosphere is very laid back and informal. The work is easy and the employee discount is amazing. During peak season, you will earn a lot of overtime hours.

Cons

The managers, supervisors, and leads are all friends with each other, so if someone does something wrong it is unlikely that they will be reprimanded for it. The pay is subpar and the atmosphere can be very unprofessional at times. During peak season, the mandatory overtime can cause you to miss out on valuable time with your family.

- Very fun work - Get to work with professional chefs - You will actually learn more about cooking in this position than you will taking the classes - Employee discounts

Cons

- Low pay with no opportunity for advancement, not a career path - Sometimes kitchen is understaffed, putting a lot of pressure on you
