Pros

Employee discount is very good and the free cooking class per month is a nice perk. You get to work with and interact with a ton of foodies if that's your interest.

Cons

Not much training done. You learn as you go and by your mistakes. Not much room for advancement and not much feedback from management. Hours are sporadic and if the store doesn't do well, hours are cut.

- Very fun work - Get to work with professional chefs - You will actually learn more about cooking in this position than you will taking the classes - Employee discounts

Cons

- Low pay with no opportunity for advancement, not a career path - Sometimes kitchen is understaffed, putting a lot of pressure on you
