Pros

I like the people on my team.

Cons

With COVID 19 cases on the rise, the leadership team has chosen now as the time to require all office employees to return to the office 50% of the time. We have to sit in an open office area without enough protection to keep us safe and healthy. Additionally, they require us to eat in a cafeteria, even when indoor dining is not allowed across most of Illinois (including the county the office is located in). Numerous questions and concerns were submitted about returning to the office and there has been no response. Every day, more COVID cases are reported and the positivity rate goes up, yet there is no communication from the leadership team. We are all concerned about our health and safety, but it feels that the company isn’t. The Sunstar philosophy is “Always strive to help people everywhere achieve better health and enhance their quality of life”. The recent actions during a worsening pandemic, do not align with this philosophy, as they are unnecessarily putting office employees at risk.

Pros

The company was ok to work for. The temps are hired through a Staffing Agency. The coworkers in the Warehouse all do their job to the best of their abilities. Typical Day would be to go to the line and unbox product, pack, sticker, and palletize a pallet. The cafeteria is nice and looks new. The whole building is clean and since it is a company that works with medical devices there are a lot of sanitizing areas.

Cons

Warehouse workers are in constant movement and it gets fast paced on the line. Warehouse equipment sometimes does not work and sometimes the workers can't keep up with the pace. Workers are tired because the only breaks that they get are the scheduled ones.
