I worked with Sodexo in 2024, and my time with the company came to an end in the following year. Unfortunately, my experience was not positive. The company operates in an environment where fear is used as a management tool, with the expectation that pressure and threats will drive performance. Mistakes are often unfairly placed on employees rather than addressed constructively.
Accountability is frequently discussed but not consistently practiced by leadership. The District Manager has misrepresented situations to senior management, shifting blame for his own decisions onto others. When discussions do not align with his views, he resorts to issuing written notices for unclear or unwarranted reasons.
Additionally, HR often overextends its influence into areas beyond its scope, creating unnecessary conflicts. The overall work environment was challenging, and operational standards—such as food safety and hygiene—left much to be desired, with instances of cockroach sightings in the kitchen area.
While this was my experience, I hope the company takes steps to improve its workplace culture and operational integrity.
