Business Outlook
Pros
Interesting work in an international environment with multinational teams. Local contacts in more than 100 countries. Well known in global construction and industry markets.
Cons
Management occupied by the forced take-over of Staint Gobain. Very strong focused on profit and shareholder satisfaction, what keeps culture and values currently in the background.

Thank you for taking the time to review Sika. We currently face extreme circumstances at the moment, which our Board is focusing on to ensure the future success of Sika for all employees, customers, and shareholders. However we maintain business as usual in every one of our 97 countries around the world, where our Sika Spirit remains strong and our global team continues to work hard to ensure customer satisfaction.
-People here are great, I made friendships that go beyond the job.
-The benefits are pretty good, employee contributions are on the lower end. I also appreciate the PTO day for community service and the fitness reimbursement plan.
-I love the employee events like birthday treats (when they still had them) and the holiday party
Cons
-There is little to no internal promotion opportunities anymore. When roles have opened up, they have gone to external candidates, or they bring someone in from the location in Europe.
-Patchy communications from corporate, as well as corporate boasting the record-breaking profits on the internet, and then our bonuses would get cut - left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.
-Salaries are pretty frugal
-Senior management seem to be in a micromanagement mindset and caring about the wrong things
-HR and management have made some bad choices when it comes to employees lately that I don't agree with
