Pros

The other service employees (the techs, reps a couple of the engineers) are decent, hardworking people who look out for each other. Once out of the shop and on the road you can manage your own day to some extent, although expect regular interference from the service managers. Some of the company fleet is relatively new.

Cons

The on-call responsibilities here are unreasonable. You are expected to be available for whatever, whenever, without regard for your own personal life. At this branch they keep a poor inventory of parts. You will always been scrambling, literally searching through boxes of garbage to try and find basic materials like hoses and pipe fittings. The warehouse area was filthy. Although some of the company fleet is new a lot of the trucks are old and in disrepair yet you are expected to use them regardless. During the interview process they claim they promote from within however once hired you quickly learn from the other service personnel that it is practically impossible to move up without agreeing to work on weekends and at odd hours without overtime pay. Even if you do get a promotion you will see only a small increase in pay with a huge increase in responsibility. The office environment in general is very unprofessional. The overall morale of the employees was terrible. There was a definite divide between service and admin. staff. This is a good company to get experience with but definitely not a place to stay long term.

Pros

Competitive pay, flex vacation/ PTO

Cons

Organizational restructuring seems more frequent than other companies I’ve worked for. Constant changes in processes. In four years I’ve seen change in incentive plan twice and not for the better even though they’ll tell you it is. You can make great money in sales still. Corporate alignment of rollouts of product timeline v. actual reality in the area level.
