      Pros

      There are ample opportunities for career development and growth. The genzyme culture is polite. The main focus on helping patients find relief from pain or disease is a strong incentive to do a good job.

      Cons

      This is a tricky time for the company with a series of serious setbacks over the last year, it is hard to know if we will have our jobs in the next six months but it looks like things are turning around.

      Pros

      The company has an excellent, very collegial atmosphere. Employees are supported well and there is excellent support for most processes from numerous line functions.

      Cons

      Some processes as well as the governance structure can be a bit confusing. More so than other large pharma companies. But even with this. There are almost always enough people who know how to get things done.
