Pros

Sample Supports has a strong mission, tons of opportunities for professional development in upboarding and paid education/training, and the people we support are fantastic to work with. The focus on employee benefits and retention is making it such a rewarding place to work and leading to higher quality of care and programming for the people we serve. Plus it’s been a great team atmosphere with endless support from all levels of the organization.

Cons

Working with people with disabilities can lead to quick changes based on their needs and sometimes that means schedules are less consistent. There have been operational changes since COVID and the programming is more diverse (mix of site and community based) than it was previously. We manage challenging behaviors with the people we support so self-care is essential and encouraged to avoid that feeling of burning out in helping others.
