Pros

You always get your full 40 hours Ppto is always accumulated every full shift you work. Instead of calling into the store you can just use the me@Sam’s to report an absence. If you are a person that respects your associates as a member of management your associates will love and respect you. They will definitely help the day feel smoother because they will always help but you have to do your part in being there for them too.

Cons

Horrible upper management. Your off days are almost always split up and you don’t really have much time for yourself. You will feel burnt out, under appreciated, and overworked. When you make a mistake management likes to interrogate you by having 5 people of management in the room just to address that one mistake or issue. When you make a mistake mostly every member of management will know and will treat you like you are dumb or a criminal. People will say not to take things personally but proceeds to be the same people that takes everything out of proportion and personally. They will throw you out into the wolves and leave you short handed quite often to where you will just have to figure out how to run the shift with so little people on schedule and nobody will want to help you. There is favoritism in management. You legit can not be friendly even if you feel that creating a positive environment is good unfortunately that will leave you as a more of a target because these managers feel it’s best to be stuck up and basically bullies to their coworkers and associates.

Pros

At the corporate level, the benefits and compensation are excellent. Colleagues at the producer level are standout teammates, talented, collaborative, and genuinely invested in the company's success. They consistently bring forward meaningful contributions and make the day-to-day work rewarding.

Cons

"Chaos" is not a word I'm using loosely. It's the word echoed across teams, including outside of Experience and Product. Leadership operates in a constant state of upheaval: frequent role changes, structural reorganizations, and strategy pivots that are implemented without any clear plan or consideration of cross-team impact. Incredibly talented people are let go as a result of poor leadership and people management decisions. There is no real culture of mentorship above the senior manager level. Leadership above the senior manager level made clear that mentorship isn't their responsibility and that you're expected to figure it out on your own, despite the company having training resources available. That disconnect is telling.
