The hours for lower level employees just isn't enough to live on, and with a rotating schedule and the requirement to have an open schedule to get the job makes it even harder to find another job to help supplement income. Managing is a complete mess there is never a clear idea of what's going on at any given time. Several important parts of operation will not work or not arrive without notice or communication.
