Pros
-if you’re young and need something part time (3hrs-5hrs) -almost impossible to get fired (even though I’ve seen some very questionable things) -recommended for people who are seasonal or temporarily wanting a job
Cons
-terrible management -inconsistent hours -inconsistent work schedule -you won’t get more than 20hrs a week unless someone calls in and you fill in -if the store hits monthly the manager receives the bonus, you don’t get anything. Even if you helped with the upt severely, -you are borderline forced to sale 3+ items each checkout or get told something (even though some customers don’t want to spend anymore) -if you are mid shift and closing person calls in, you’re automatically the one who has to stay extra and close -Mondays boss has meetings there in the back they’re entire shift, so you’ll be alone -If asked if you want to be a color consultant just say no, you deal with more just to get a landyard instead of a raise -I’ve worked here for almost 2 years and the only raise I got was 15¢ (I’m not joking either) -employees love gossiping and talking about customers -“higher” employees literally love to sit in the back all day and don’t help with anything -if you become an assistant, you get extra hrs, no pay raise -highly recommend to know your stuff, or else you will have angry customers come back -out of my 2 years of working there I’ve seen so many people leave due to hrs, pay and inconsistency.
