Pros

* If you're lucky, you'll work with great, smart people. In my years with Sage I haven't worked with any toxic manager, only the usual suspects, built up frustration. * If you get to work with a great team, you'll benefit from work/home flexibility. * Although this is a standard in majority of companies, they do offer access to learning tools, medical insurance, travel, food cards, pregnancy support. * Amazing work council (they really try to protect the employees from the company's interests - which is to save up costs) * Great HR department, very speedy in replies and always there to support you. * Annual bonus.

Cons

* Cheapest company I've ever worked for: no teambuilding's, no parking spots, 'Christmas' parties in January/February (because it's cheaper). Generous is not a word Sage will ever be described as. Always the bare minimum. * Changed from 'work from home' to' 2 days in the office', now '3 days in office'. Very soon will be '5 days in office'. * No future for a career as a QA. The highest you can go is QA Lead OR Automation Principal. No QA Manager, Director, nothing! * Now they hire contractors for 3 months, graduates, while senior staff is not being replaced. * Salary raises between 1% and 5%. No more. Don't expect them paying above the average than the market. * Annual bonus formula is not transparent. One parameter of the formula is the success of the department. Ex. You were successful this year 65%. Out of what? Nobody knows. * One of the worst IT departments I've ever worked with. Not replying to your tickets for months (2+ months), seeing your messages and not replying to them.

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
