Pros

Fast-paced environment with strong exposure to influencer marketing, TikTok campaigns, and social commerce. I learned a lot about content testing, campaign coordination, and performance tracking.

Cons

The workload could be intense at times, and deadlines often changed quickly. More structured onboarding and clearer task prioritization would help interns adapt faster.

Pros

The company was growing pretty fast and had a startup like pace, until the tariffs happened. SHEIN’s pace slowed down a lot and the company pivoted to cost optimization

Cons

1) company’s leadership, especially the US leadership lacks vision and creates a toxic work culture by constantly belittling people in open and yelling at them. 2) the small group of top leaders almost behave like high school bullies colluding with each other 3) you’ll struggle to survive, let alone succeed, if you don’t speak Chinese. 4) Sheins compensation is significantly below industry peers 5) Daily late night calls with the China team mean a non existent work life balance. You are expected to be available at all times, including late night and weekends
