Pros

They give you interviews almost right away

Cons

SGF Global has positioned itself as a challenging freelance workplace, requiring fixed shifts rather than allowing the flexibility traditionally associated with freelance jobs. This deviation from the standard freelance model may not align with the expectations of individuals seeking autonomy in their work schedules. One of the notable drawbacks of working with SGF Global is the frequent and unannounced changes in policies, creating a dynamic work environment that demands adaptability from freelancers. Unfortunately, this lack of transparency and consultation with freelancers on alterations may lead to frustration and potential difficulties in meeting expectations. A glaring issue identified is the absence of substantial advantages for freelancers. Despite the company's stringent requirements, there appears to be a lack of reciprocation in the form of bonuses, professional development opportunities, or avenues for career growth within the organization. This dearth of incentives raises concerns about the overall value proposition for freelancers committed to delivering quality work. Furthermore, SGF Global's decision to incorporate data collection responsibilities into the role of interpreters seems to blur the lines of job responsibilities. This shift could result in a mismatch between job expectations and actual duties, potentially causing dissatisfaction among interpreters who may feel their skills are being underutilized or misdirected. The remuneration provided by SGF Global is reported to be considerably low, indicating a potential discrepancy between the expectations set by the company and the compensation offered to freelancers. This financial aspect raises questions about the overall fairness and competitiveness of the pay structure. Despite the existence of numerous conditions imposed on freelancers, there appears to be a notable lack of responsiveness when it comes to addressing their concerns or suggestions for improvement. This perceived indifference towards freelancer feedback may contribute to a sense of disillusionment and hinder the development of a collaborative and mutually beneficial working relationship. SGF Global faces significant criticism in its treatment of freelancers, particularly in the absence of crucial benefits such as health insurance, paid vacations, and sick leave. The lack of these fundamental provisions not only places freelancers at a disadvantage but also raises questions about the company's commitment to the well-being and job satisfaction of its interpreters. One notable paradox is the expectation for interpreters to be available 100% of the time, despite SGF Global's failure to reciprocate with essential benefits. This incongruity between demanding unwavering availability and neglecting to provide comprehensive support further compounds the challenges faced by freelancers. The operational aspect of SGF Global is marred by issues related to its app, which serves as a primary interface for interpreters. Reports of frequent problems within the app contribute to inefficiencies, resulting in interpreters losing valuable time. Regrettably, SGF Global's failure to address these technical glitches promptly not only disrupts the workflow but also translates to financial losses for the interpreters. Furthermore, the lack of a proper mechanism to compensate interpreters for time lost due to technical issues is a significant concern. SGF Global's apparent indifference to remunerate freelancers for the time and income lost due to technical failures highlights a disregard for the financial well-being of its workforce. In light of these shortcomings, potential and existing freelancers with SGF Global may find themselves grappling with an uneven balance between demanding expectations and insufficient support. The company's failure to provide essential benefits and address operational challenges raises doubts about its commitment to fostering a fair and supportive working environment for interpreters. Freelancers should carefully consider these deficiencies before committing to engagements with SGF Global, as they may impact job satisfaction and overall work experience. In summary, SGF Global as a freelance workplace exhibits several shortcomings, including a departure from the conventional freelance model, a lack of tangible benefits for freelancers, a potentially confusing shift in job responsibilities, subpar remuneration, and a perceived reluctance to address concerns and implement improvements. Individuals considering freelance opportunities with SGF Global should carefully weigh these factors before committing to an engagement.

Pros

I like working at SGF Global; management is always ready to help and support you. There is a genuine feeling that the company cares about the employees, and a sense of community is present. Additionally, this is a fast-growing company, and I see an excellent opportunity for advancement; during my time here, many of my colleagues had raised and were promoted.

Cons

The con is that some team members take too long to reply, so there is a need to follow up on some requests. But I have experienced this in many companies, and it is not a problem for me.
