Business Outlook
Pros
SAS provides a good work-life balance for those with families or other personal demands. SAS places a lot of emphasis on amenities such as on-site gym, day care, cafeteria, health care facility, etc. Benefits and time off are good, if you can have a job function that allows you to actually use all of your vacation.
Cons
SAS provides limited growth opportunities and little emphasis is placed on career development. Compensation is below market for many positions, so it appeals more to working couples than to younger professionals or sole wage earners. SAS is very manual in many of its business processes, so it tends to be overstaffed rather than focusing on technically efficient ways of doing business.
