Pros
Benefits are still great and salary is competitive. The facilities are top notch and employee creature comforts are plentiful. Gym and cafes are nice and campus is beautifully manicured. Individual interactions are great.
Cons
Growth is slow compared to the market. Lots of challenges with old school management failing to adapt to new business and licensing models. Top R&D leadership is questionable due to perceived erratic behavior and decision making. Trust is a major concern. The hallways are filled with empty promises. Cliques and inner circles form "leadership teams" that hand down ideas from on high. There have also been borderline unprofessional statements made in public forums sniping at divisions and projects without direct knowledge -- obvious parroting from surrounding negativity that flows fluidly in the inner circle of leadership teams. Add a backdrop of organizational upheaval and it is a recipe for staff alienation, burn out and loss of productivity. If you're truly an innovator and cutting edge thinker that just wants to solve problems, this is not your place. Politics and negativity reign supreme in this aging aristocracy.
