      Pros

      Leading provider of analytics. Tons of opptunities to learn new things. Benifit is good. Pressure is low. SAS never laid off any employee in the past 35 years.

      Cons

      Salary is not very competitive. Very few chances to climb up to the career ladder. Some people are not working hard due to no lay off pressure.

      Beautiful campus, benefits are amazing.

      Cons

      Too many “lifers” at SAS, lost touch with best practices. Promotions based on personal relationships versus truly being the best person for the job. HR seems to protect itself and has grown its kingdom. Out of touch management. IPO seems extremely unlikely.
