Pros

For the front of the house flights and hotels are paid after your first contract. If you have any extra languages you will be sent to different parts of the world. I got to go to England, Ireland, Germany, Colombia, Panama, France, Italy, Portugal, most of the caribbean all while getting paid. You have to posibility to save your entire paycheck because you don't pay rent, utilities or food. So while it might not be amazing money it works because you dont have expenses. If you know how to deal with the distance you will make some amazing and unique memories along with friends from all over the world. The job is easy, you have to use a lot of common sense, be very fond of customer service and really enjoy what you do. If you have a positive attitude you and people around you will have a fantastic time. I met my husband there.

Cons

Distance and holidays can be though, you work long hours on special days and have to make the best of it. Scheduling once you are in a couple is a nightmare even if you are married. In order to cut costs they have to put you on different ships which then complicates your relationship. When there is a bad influence it tends to have a huge effect on people around them, which makes things very difficult. Sometimes new policies will apply and they are not well thought, they are great on paper but not so much in real life. More and more they are bringing more responsibilities and cutting back on staff, it only means more stress.

Pros

Pay is competitive. You get a free cruise.

Cons

The culture here was ok, though not the best. Now with a VERY strict 9-5 policy, the entire company is feeling the grip of the execs. No exceptions for anyone who has a doctors appointment or needs to pick up a kid or adjust their hours slightly to get through life. Many employees have to work extra hours, travel across the world, and work based on other time zones due to projects spanning across the world. No matter, 9-5 or pack your things. Execs are demanding more control, they seem to forget that they placed their office all the way in the traffic zoo of the Port of Miami. No one is happy and now you can hardly get out of the port at a decent time. Would have loved to see some execs and vps fight against this but it seems they only care about protecting themselves, and Mr Liberty is having his way. I hope he enjoys this act of control as it is making his employees miserable. Expect high turn over soon or layoffs, or both. Many of the small benefits have been rolled back without any announcement (food discounts, commuter discounts) without any notice. We have lost the plot, we are selling vacations, not saving lives.
