Pros
I worked in IT at Rockwell, and had really great customers. They were demanding, but fine so long as they got what they needed done, done right, the first time. My coworkers were helpful and cooperative, and always willing to help out if there was some unfamiliar technology or bug to fix. During my time there, I had timely raises and lots of good feedback, although the last couple of years were a little tight on the funding.
Cons
Senior management doesn't have a lot of respect for the perceptiveness of their employees. One week they'd issue a statement saying we were doing really well and needed to give it our all, then the next week there would be a bunch of layoffs. The best people were leaving in droves before getting laid off. A few too many people have been promoted past their comfort level - although the ability to advance in the company is a plus, sometimes they don't know when someone is at their highest competency level. The transition to a new ERP has not gone smoothly, and has eaten up a lot more resources than was originally anticipated.
