Pros

Red Hat was one of the most energizing environments I’ve worked in. The caliber of talent is exceptional, truly some of the smartest, most capable colleagues you’ll ever meet. The culture rewards merit and impact, and during high-growth phases it felt like being on a rocket ship with endless opportunities to learn, stretch, and advance.

Cons

Decision-making could be slow. The consensus-driven culture meant that getting alignment often required input from many stakeholders, which sometimes created bottlenecks and slowed momentum.

Pros

Extremely talented and motivated people Great product and ecosystem around Kubernetes

Cons

Bluewashing is real. After 4 years past acquisition it is not Open Decision company anymore. There is no clear communication about the direction where the company goes, some departments were moved to IBM without clear explanation why. Promotion process that was clear before is gone, and now your salary increase or promotion are directly depend on your relationship with the manager and not from your contribution to the team or the product.
