Pros

Supportive colleagues A lot to learn

Cons

Salaries are not at all up to the market competition and to make things worse there is a discrepancy in salary for experienced and new grad hires where the new grad hires could be getting higher pay than the experienced employee. Inexperienced management leads to poor team development and loss of productivity. People don't want to acknowledge they are micromanaging even when they are. IBM acquisition created a lot of uncertainty and to make it worse, the management just kept on providing newer and newer excuses instead of making the impact clear and concise. Also, the hiring bar is going down considerably across some of the teams where the hires are hardly ready to learn something new and are rather more focused on just joining the dots.

Pros

Extremely talented and motivated people Great product and ecosystem around Kubernetes

Cons

Bluewashing is real. After 4 years past acquisition it is not Open Decision company anymore. There is no clear communication about the direction where the company goes, some departments were moved to IBM without clear explanation why. Promotion process that was clear before is gone, and now your salary increase or promotion are directly depend on your relationship with the manager and not from your contribution to the team or the product.
