      Pros

      Truly open source culture, you work on upstream projects the world uses. Even as QE i get to contribute to dev work, build tools, contribute patches Engineering teams have autonomy, no micromanagement, remote friendly with good work life balance Smart people around you, you learn a lot and your experience stays industry relevant

      Cons

      Can feel slow, lots of process around, but I guess AI will fix that. Some teams are understaffed so you end up wearing many hats, but honestly that's also how you learn
