Pros

The brand and image speaks for itself and the initial respect you get. Access to various parts departments and garages along the way. Company fringe benefits.

Cons

“High gloss “ what you perceive from the outside looking in. Reality, will cost you everything. Work life balance Bad especially if you’re new. They will want you to eat sleep this thing …when keen and green. Bedazzled by the Machine that is R*C. You will be encouraged to work 12 hour shifts a week. Day patrols can work up to midnight???? no extra in numeration from 21:00 onwards. Bank holidays yeah…another day in the office-“van” no extra for it. Kiss your social life good bye if you have one ! . Has been known to damage relationships due to not being around especially if you’re family is young and your chasing the money! They think they OWN you. Holidays are planned year in advanced, and you won’t be necessarily taking annual leave when you want . They talk about integrity blah blah Blah yet forget how to look after their patrols. Often you find your lead patrol is under so much pressure, their someone you want to avoid. For some ……depending on your living situation it’s the greatest ! If there is commitment by management to truly look after the patrols on grass route levels . Making sure their being heard and actually getting consistent assistance with their challenges. This could have been a very different review.
