Pros

- Remote work - I think this company has great meaning & does great work for the food/beverage industry. I think the company has great potential.

Cons

I’d like to start by saying that I think this company has great meaning & does great work for the food/beverage industry. I think the company has great potential. However, it is my belief that there could be changes in management in departments such as Orientation. Specifically a change in the manager & parts of the lead team. The leaders are based on autocratic styles and I don’t personally believe this is a way to authentically lead an effective team. The management team in the Orientation department needs to improve in communication, consistency, discrimination, and leadership. There is harassment & discrimination at play, along with nepotism/favoritism. They chose to not acknowledge feedback from others and are shifting the blame to the rest of the orientation team. It appears as if they will only protect their friends (playing along with nepotism) and will acknowledge any wrongdoing. The managerial teams do appear to be built on personal relationships and lack skills for managing and leading a team. If you are not friends with someone, you have to suck it up & play along with their rules. The hardest part of the job is sucking up to people you know do not want the best for you and are looking to make your life difficult. This can be really damaging to one’s mental health and makes you feel you always have to be on edge/looking over one shoulder. If you speak up to management (even the CEO or directors) regarding discrimination/harassment or frustrations, you are reprimanded or fired. When they reprimand you, you will be “coached”. This means they set numerous meetings on your calendar(most last minute & unnecessary) & only to show proof there were meetings, but nothing was really discussed. However, most leads/managers do not have leadership skills and seem to be threatened yet really love to hold power over their team. Communication skills are seriously lacking and discrimination against POC is pretty obvious. However, it seems impossible to speak up because you could be fired, reprimanded, or the blame shifts on you. Critical feedback comes as a shock most times with a few teams leads as it is never discussed until a meeting with the orientation manager. The workplace culture is toxic. They need to be made aware of their use of language and responses, especially being a virtual company. Their communication skills need to improve drastically. They need to take responsibility for their leads and managers instead of placing blame on those who are genuinely there to do their job. You can only go to HR. They will diminish your experience and play favorites. OR they will have yet another meeting with you and give you the run-around on why they are letting you go (they can never give a specific reason) & will lie to the team about your work ethic. You get fired simply because they can’t handle conflict/bc they don’t like you. Unfortunately, many people feel this way but do not feel comfortable sharing with it being anonymous.

Pros

I have been with Qwick for 3 yrs. Every Company have things that could make them better. My experience working with QWICK HAS GIVEN ME THE TRUE DEFINITION OF TEAMWORK. I’ve learned so much from my coworkers. It amazes me how we as a team can despite of our differences meet above expectations. I’ll be 60 soon and has worked in various positions and thousands of people. Even now I work with other temp agencies and it’s not the same. Qwick expectations are high and that brings the best of the best. Company’s that have started after Qwick and had manage to get Qwick workers are Amaze on how we work together.

Cons

Those who have not been satisfied are the ones that have the same work ethic as the others and they just don’t fit. So what does a loser do, they try and bring down others
