Pros
Depends on store volume, manager, and co-workers. But a good manager makes all the difference. When they’re good, and you have a trusted supported team, the job isn’t too bad. Getting paid weekly instead of bi-weekly is really nice. Pay for part time wasn’t bad either.
Cons
inconsistent scheduling, abuse of part time hours. (Scheduling right at 39) and overall inconsistency with job class. I was a clerk, then a scan price clerk, and then they tried to strong arm me into being DSD. Both jobs that were 4am clock in times. Co workers constantly called out or sometimes just left during their shift with no consequences. So sometimes you would start a shift closing with three people and then an hour in someone would disappear and then it’d just be two for the night. And then your co-worker takes their lunch and you’re left to do truck by yourself.
