Pros
When I first became ill, Providence was very helpful. And they were pretty accommodating, too.
Cons
As soon as they realized that I had a permanent medical condition, they disengaged from the situation. All the support melted away. The accommodations became less and less helpful. The company they use to manage FMLA and other related accommodations badly mismanaged my case, which Providence expressed regret for, but which ultimately changed nothing. They offered me no alternatives, and no other positions or options were ever provided. I was forced to choose between my health, or my job. If you choose to work for Providence, which, in good conscience, I cannot recommend, please be sure you are in good health, and have NO disabilities. Regardless what a company claims as a policy, it's what they actually do that matters. Providence doesn’t walk their talk.
