Pros

ProducePay has a very exciting mission - to let farmers focus on farming by making all other elements of the industry predictable, transparent and fair. Ultimately this means helping farmers earn more with less risk. And every day, the work we do feels meaningful and important. The team is also incredible. Lots of very talented and smart people. Not only that, they constantly learn from their mistake and adapt the company and culture to become better. For example, we used to work a little too much in silos which would cause teams to sometimes have conflicts (not aligned, different priorities, etc...). This concern was voiced by the team, leadership acknowledged it and created an OKR the following quarter to ensure better collaboration was a key focus for the organization. Another very exciting aspect especially now is the growth of the company. We are hiring a lot and it is creating lots of opportunities for people to move up and gain more responsibilities.

Cons

We are experiencing very fast growth and it leads to some issues. We need to change our processes, improve our onboarding experience for new employees, continue to get better at collaboration (especially now that we have so many more people). Also, work is pretty intense right now. I am confident it will dial down at some point but definitely quite hectic these days. If you are expecting a traditional 9 to 5, this is definitely not the right place for you (right now).
