Pros
The salary, exposure to high level executives and management, agencies, events, travel and networking.
Cons
Unless you have a degree there is no career progression. Long hours, no distinct off hours you are ALWAYS the face of the product/company even in your personal time. You can be contacted by every part of the company (at all hours) as the concierge to set up reservations, suggest accounts etc for local and visiting management, clients and guests. Expected to be at everything and stay relevant in the industry and on social media, work almost every night, be personable, fun and be seen drinking the product. Then on top of the night industry aspect of the job you need to be available 9-5 hours for emails, sales and trainings as well as all brand events in your markets.
