Leadership positions continue to be filled with those that fall into the malable type personalities or the friends and family contacts. Not filled by someone who posess the skills, knowledge or experiences. I have witness these new hires come aboard and instantly become entitled to shorter work weeks with no accountability to their hired positions. They bring with them changes sometime good, some making no sense at all. A well intended plan or change of a process is usually thoroughly thought through before execution, having to constantly do a do over or go back to how we used to do things is tiresome. Leadership rolls should be with the pretense of a probationary period if they meet the positions expectations great if they don't that's it ok too, and there's the door. Or offer a position that better suits their capabilities and skills.
