Pros
Relaxed dress code. Nice office building, decent benefits and PTO, recognized leader in oil and gas but not sure for how much longer. Good teamwork in a few departments but people are not leaving the good managers. Small and fast decreasing number of managers that still care, make time for their employees, and are honest. Flexible work schedule.
Cons
Living in the past, no direction, pre-historic everything. Senior managers have not caught on with the times and manage employees through intimidation and punishment. Good experienced employees are leaving every day. There is little opportunity for advancement and manages stay in jobs they have been doing for centuries. New ideas fall on deaf ears. Infighting between department managers and forget about trust. People wear whatever they feel like to work. I go to sleep and wake up sick to my stomach about having to go to work. Hearing people about going on interviews and working on resumes during office hours is no big deal. I have three children and my husband's job does not offer health insurance so I take the bullet for the family for now. Nothing happens to unprofessional or rude coworkers. Managers complain about low bonus payouts shamelessly while salary increases for hourly employees are cancelled.
