Pros
- Lots of hours - Great co-workers - Room for promotion, flexibility of positions - Certain members of management are amazing - Free training (if you make it past 6 months) - Opportunity for overtime - Unpaid time off generally isn't an issue
Cons
- Horrendous pay - Benefits deductions are sizable - Pay - Management is generally slow to respond to correspondence - It is essentially IMPOSSIBLE to get fired. - Sexual misconduct in certain sites is a huge problem - YOU WILL NOT GET A RAISE UNTIL YOU GET PROMOTED, no matter your seniority - Management doesn't support staff when clients are involved (ie. an officer complains of a client doing something majorly inappropriate, client comes back with something minor and petty, officer gets penalized for whatever minor issue they're accused of with no investigation whatsoever) - Favouritism runs amok - NSLC does NOT pay more after a year, Jackie. That has been a lie you've been telling officers for over two years now. Stop the garbage lies
