Pros
Offer multiple types of courses that they pay you to take to further your career in the security industry. If you're looking into getting into Policing this is a great opportunity to learn the art of de-escalating situations with regular patients as well as with mental health patients. Maybe the best bridge into Policing without taking Police Foundations, as i have been told by many Full Time Guards.
Cons
Pay is not enough for what you deal with at a Hospital. Would be nice if management would do something for the guards like starting at $20+/hr as it can be a stressful environment. In my opinion $18.86/hr just doesn't cut it, especially when the same company has contracts with other Hospitals that do start at $20+/hr rate.
