Pros
Dress code is jeans and T shirt. Can listen (only 1 earbud allowed) to music while doing lab work. Flexible schedule.
Cons
I've observed a concerning employee turnover rate recently. This calendar year, we have lost tens of dissatisfied employees, totaling over 200 years of PPD experience (just in the Richmond ICD). Work/life balance is gritty due to unrealistic expectations. Employees are not promoted or given raises based on merit. The icing on the cake is the retirement of long time director and replacing the position via inexperienced outside hiring rather than promoting an experienced internal candidate.
