Corporate - Project Assistant PPD Employee Review

Pros

work from home after 6 months, semi-generous PTO (~5.60/pay period, every 2 weeks), decent starting pay with little-to-no experience required ($18.50/hr), 1 hour (unpaid) lunch break, on-site gym, management that does not push you or communicate frequently, but is always open if you need something. Build admin skills with doc review, report generation, professional communication, etc. As of last month, no dress code. One of my favorite things: very diverse group of coworkers from all different parts of the world.

Cons

Slow career mobility, poor (non-existent) company culture, cubicle office setting with very limited natural light, long, tedious work with little relief, coworkers were not cooperative, across the board it seemed many people wanted to point fingers rather than take responsibility, little-to-no perks (sad snack and break room with unhealthy packaged goods for SALE), no work-from-home equipment supplied to employees

Pros

Provided health insurance. Good coworkers Good exposure to team at client site If you have a good technical lead, the job can be great!

Cons

You have 2 bosses (Technical lead from Client Site) and your PPD boss. PPD Boss does not know what is going on If you have a bad technical lead, your life can be miserable. Pay is low No protection from abusive technical lead (coworkers on same team can have a drastically different experience)
